Show amounts in each shopper's currency
Your loyalty program is set up in your store currency. If you sell in other currencies with Shopify Markets, Charm shows every loyalty amount in the currency the shopper is actually paying in. A shopper on your Czech market reads 1 point for every 24,70 Kč and free shipping over 1 235,24 Kč, not the euro amounts you configured.
Conversion is on by default. You don’t need to set up exchange rates or enter amounts per currency.
What gets converted
Section titled “What gets converted”Every place the program shows money:
- Reward values, for example a fixed-amount discount or store credit reward.
- VIP tier spend thresholds and the progress toward the next tier.
- Earn rates, such as 1 point for every 24,70 Kč.
- Perk and reward minimums, such as free shipping from a certain order value.
- Referral discounts for the friend and the referrer.
- Milestone rewards and other earn rules that promise a money value.
It applies on the storefront widget, the rewards page, the points estimate on product pages, the Loyalty Hub in the customer account, and the your next reward line in loyalty e-mails.

- Exact, like converted prices (default). The amount converted to the cent, the way Shopify shows converted product prices.
- Rounded, marked as approximate. Friendly steps (25 Kč, 1 240 Kč) with an ≈ in front, so shoppers read them as a guide.
Each option shows an example in a currency other than your store’s.

Changes reach the storefront within about a minute.
Which exchange rate Charm uses
Section titled “Which exchange rate Charm uses”The market’s own rate, the one your storefront prices use:
- Automatic rates follow Shopify’s exchange rates, which Shopify refreshes several times a day.
- Manual rates you set on a market are used as they are.
This is the same rate Shopify’s checkout uses to convert a fixed-amount discount code, so the value a shopper reads in the widget matches what the discount takes off at checkout.
Fixed price lists. If a market has its own fixed prices, the points estimate on the product page starts from the price the shopper pays on that market.
The Loyalty Hub and e-mails can’t read a live rate from the store, so they use the rate your storefront last reported for that currency. For e-mails, the currency comes from the country the customer last shopped from. Until a shopper has visited your store in a given currency, amounts for that currency stay in your store currency.
What stays in your store currency
Section titled “What stays in your store currency”- Earning. Points are always calculated from the order amount in your store currency, which Shopify converts for every order. A purchase is worth the same number of points whichever market it comes from, at the day’s rate.
- The settings you enter. You configure reward values and thresholds once, in your store currency. VIP tiers qualify on spend in your store currency.
- Store credit balances. Credit is money the customer holds, so it keeps the currency it was issued in.
- The Charm admin, reports and customer history.
