Connect Vocato

Vocato is Charm’s free companion Shopify app for Czech, Slovak, and Polish stores. It supplies correct name declensions (“Ahoj Jane” instead of “Ahoj Jan”) plus each customer’s name-day date. There’s nothing to configure or authorize — Charm detects Vocato by itself once it’s installed.

Steps

  1. In Charm, go to Settings → Integrations and find the Vocato — name days & declensions section.
  2. Click Get Vocato — free and install the app from the Shopify App Store.
  3. In Vocato, run its one-click customer sync — it fills the name data automatically.
  4. Back in Charm, click Check again. The badge flips from Not installed to Active, vocative greetings turn on, and the name-day earning rule becomes available.

What the connection unlocks

  • Vocative greetings — the Loyalty Hub greeting and join card address customers in the vocative case. Use the Vocative greetings toggle on the card to turn this off; it falls back to the plain first name whenever no vocative is available. (Czech and Polish get vocative forms; modern Slovak dropped the vocative, so Slovak greetings keep the plain name.)
  • Name-day rewards — the Celebrate a name day earning rule can resolve each customer’s date from the Czech, Slovak, or Polish calendar. See Set up a name-day bonus.
  • Customer backfill — click Sync customer data to run a one-time sync so existing customers get their name data right away; new storefront visits refresh automatically. The card shows the last sync’s result (customers checked, how many have a name day or vocative).
