Connect Ecomail

Connect Ecomail so every customer’s loyalty state — points balance, VIP tier, and referral details — is written onto their Ecomail contact, and every loyalty event is sent to Ecomail’s tracker, ready to trigger automations and build segments.

Steps

  1. From your Shopify admin, open Charm and go to Settings → Integrations → Marketing and SMS apps.
  2. In the Marketing provider dropdown, choose Ecomail.
  3. Enter your Ecomail API key (from your Ecomail account settings) and the List ID of the subscriber list you sync to, then click Connect. The badge flips to Connected and Charm starts syncing contact fields and events.

What syncs

Once connected, Charm keeps each contact’s custom fields current:

  • Loyalty state — points_balance, vip_tier, program_name, locale, and loyalty_page_url (a direct link to the customer’s loyalty page).
  • Referral data — referral_link, referral_code, and any active referral_discount_code, so a “share your link” or give-get automation can pull the real, current values.
  • Events — loyalty moments (points earned, reward redeemed, tier achieved, birthday, referral completed, and the bonus-campaign teasers) are sent to Ecomail’s /tracker/events, so automations can trigger on them.

Tier changes push immediately, so tier-gated segments and automations stay current without waiting for the next email.

Sync your contacts

Click Sync contacts now to update your existing Ecomail contacts on demand. The result reports how many synced, how many were not in your Ecomail list yet, and any errors. A background job keeps larger lists current.

Email delivery stays with Charm

Charm keeps sending its loyalty emails. Ecomail runs in sync-and-segment mode — there is no “hand delivery to Ecomail” toggle. If you want Ecomail to send a given message instead, build a matching Ecomail automation and turn off the equivalent Charm email so customers don’t get both.
