Check your plan, order cap, and overage status

Every Charm plan includes every feature; plans differ only in how many orders a month they cover. The Billing & Plan page shows which plan you’re on, how this month’s orders compare with its limit, and where the month is heading.

  1. Go to Settings and find Billing & Plan. It shows your plan and its limit, for example Starter plan · 1,500 orders / mo.
  2. Click Manage plan to open the Billing & Plan page. If your store is over its limit this month, the row carries an Over limit badge and the button reads Upgrade instead.
  3. Read the Orders this month card below the plan cards.
  4. To change plans, click Upgrade or Downgrade on a plan card.
  • What counts. Every paid order in your store this month, whether or not the customer is a member or the order earned points. Each order counts once. Orders imported from another platform with an earlier month’s date don’t count; see importing past orders into Shopify.
  • The bar. This month’s orders against your plan’s limit, for example 1,120 / 1,500. It turns amber at 75% of the limit and red at 90%.
  • The projection. A lighter stretch of the bar shows where the month is heading, with a line such as On course for about 1,640 orders this month. Charm takes the larger of two estimates: your store’s orders over the last 30 days, and this month’s pace so far stretched to the whole month. The pace only counts from the 7th of the month, so a busy first couple of days can’t produce an alarming forecast. The lighter stretch turns amber when the projection passes your limit, and it’s left out when it wouldn’t add anything to the bar.

The card appears on every plan with a monthly limit; Unlimited has no limit to show.

The same Orders this month card appears on the Charm home page (Dashboard) only when there’s something to act on:

  • you’ve used 75% or more of this month’s limit,
  • the month is projected to pass the limit, or
  • your store’s orders over the last 30 days fit a bigger plan than the one you’re on.

Otherwise it stays off the home page, so a quiet month doesn’t nag you. The Billing & Plan page always shows it.

As the pause gets close, a banner at the top of Charm’s admin pages counts down the days, with an Upgrade button, and the home page card counts down too. Once editing is paused, the banner says so and changes to your program can’t be saved. Upgrading to a plan that covers your order volume lifts the pause. Your customers see no difference at any point.
