Exclude products from earning points

Keep specific products — gift cards, samples, or low-margin items — from contributing to the points a customer earns, while the rest of the order still earns normally. This is the product side of Eligibility; to exclude people instead, exclude customers by tag.

Steps

1. Go to Settings → Eligibility → Excluded products.
2. Click Pick products and select the products (or variants) to exclude. To exclude by tag instead, type tags into Product tags and Add tag.
3. Click Save to apply the change.

Tip

Excluding a product doesn’t disqualify the whole order — the order can still earn points, but excluded products don’t count toward the earning amount. Membership fee products are excluded automatically, so you don’t need to add them here — see stop points on membership purchases.
