Connect Omnisend

Connect Omnisend with an API key so Charm writes each customer’s loyalty state onto their Omnisend contact and streams every loyalty event as a custom event — ready for segments and automations. Charm keeps sending the loyalty emails itself; Omnisend gets the data.

Steps

  1. From your Shopify admin, open Charm and go to Settings → Integrations → Marketing and SMS apps.
  2. In the Marketing provider dropdown, choose Omnisend.
  3. Paste your Omnisend API key — create it in Omnisend under Store settings → API keys — then click Connect. Charm verifies the key against Omnisend before saving it; the badge flips to Connected and syncing starts.

What the connection does

  • Contact properties — charm_-prefixed custom properties (points balance, VIP tier, membership state, and friends) are kept current on each contact, so you can build loyalty segments in Omnisend.
  • Custom events — every loyalty event (points earned, reward redeemed, tier reached, referral completed, …) is sent as an Omnisend custom event, named the same way as Charm’s Klaviyo metrics, so automations can react the moment something happens.
  • A daily sync plus a manual one — Charm reconciles all members once a day, and you can trigger a full sync anytime from the Omnisend card. The card shows the last sync’s result: synced, not-yet-in-Omnisend, and error counts.
