How exact is the “points to earn” figure?

Section titled “How exact is the “points to earn” figure?”

It’s a live estimate of what the order will actually award, built from the cart as checkout reports it. Charm accounts for how your store prices tax (whether tax is included in your prices or added on top), so the preview matches the award instead of drifting by the tax rate. It also follows your earning rules: if shipping or tax is excluded from earning, it isn’t previewed as earning either.

Items that won’t earn on the order don’t count in the preview either: products, variants, collections and product tags you exclude from earning, and gift cards and discounted items when their switches are on. A bonus campaign counts only when the cart matches its product scope, the same way the order is checked.

When a free product reward has Require a minimum purchase on, the Redeem points block waits until the cart reaches that minimum, counting the gift at its regular price. Until then the redeem window shows “Minimum order not reached” and Redeem stays disabled, so no points are spent on a gift that wouldn’t be free yet. The block can only compare carts in your store’s currency. In another currency it doesn’t hold the redemption back, but the gift’s discount still applies only once the cart reaches the minimum.
