Give members exclusive access to content

Lock chosen pages, products, or collections so only paid members can reach them — non-members see a members-only message or a product stripped of its price and add-to-cart button.

Steps

  1. In your theme editor, open App embeds and turn on Charm Gate — this is what enforces gating on the storefront before the page paints.
  2. Go to Program → Paid memberships and open the membership to edit.
  3. Under Member benefits, click + Add benefit and pick Members-only content.
  4. Pick what to lock: use Select pages, Select products, and Select collections to build the list.
  5. Choose What non-members see on gated products & collections — Blocked with the members-only message or Visible, but price and add to cart are hidden. Optionally set a Custom members-only message.
  6. Click Done, then Save.

Membership status is written out to customer tags, metafields, and — when connected — Klaviyo and Ecomail, so you can reuse it in segments and flows. Charm republishes the gating rules automatically whenever memberships or tiers change.
