Stop points earning on membership purchases

Make sure customers don’t earn points when they buy or renew a membership — a membership fee is a pass, not a regular product. This is one of several eligibility controls over what counts toward earning.

Steps

1. Go to Settings → Eligibility → Excluded order types.
2. Turn on Exclude membership purchases.
3. Click Save to apply the change.

This is on by default — a membership fee is a pass, not a regular product, so it shouldn’t earn redeemable points against its own multiplier. Turn it off only if you want membership fees to earn points like any other order.
