Lock content to a VIP tier
Give a tier real exclusivity: lock chosen pages, products, or collections so only customers who reached that tier can get in. Everyone else sees a members-only message, or the product with its price and add-to-cart button hidden.
- In your theme editor, open App embeds and turn on Charm members-only gate. It’s what enforces gating on the storefront before the page paints.
- Go to Program → VIP tiers and open the tier that should get the access.
- Under Perks, click + Add perk and pick Members-only content.
- Build the list with Select pages, Select products and Select collections. A perk with nothing selected can’t be saved.
- Choose What non-members see on gated products & collections: Blocked with the members-only message or Visible, but price and add to cart are hidden.
- Click Done, then Save.
Locking a collection locks its products
Section titled “Locking a collection locks its products”A locked collection covers the products in it, not just the collection page. With Blocked with the members-only message, a customer below the tier who opens one of those products from a direct link or a search result gets the members-only message too. Membership in the collection is checked on every page load, so products you add to the collection later are locked without saving the perk again. With Visible, but price and add to cart are hidden, the products stay browsable with their price and add-to-cart button hidden.
How access is decided
Section titled “How access is decided”Gating is by tier level, not by exact tier: lock something to Silver and every tier above Silver gets in too. If a paid membership locks the same page, the two merge into a single rule with a combined audience — the membership or the qualifying tier passes.
