Set up a name-day bonus

Celebrate name days (svátek / meniny / imieniny) the way you celebrate birthdays — a beloved tradition in Czech, Slovak, and Polish markets. Charm resolves each customer’s date from a national name-day calendar supplied by Vocato, our free companion app, and issues the reward automatically every year.

  1. Go to Program → Earning points and click Add way to earn.
  2. Choose Celebrate a name day from the rule list.
  3. Pick the Name day rewardBonus points (default 100), Free product, Amount off, Percentage off, or Free shipping.
  4. (Discount rewards only) Limit how long the reward is valid is on by default, with Days the discount code stays valid set to 7. Turn it off for a code that doesn’t expire.
  5. Choose the Name day calendarCzech, Slovak, or Polish.
  6. Add the rule and click Save.

Charm checks name days daily and issues the reward once per customer per year — no claiming needed. Customers see a countdown card in the Loyalty Hub as their day approaches, and the Name Day Reward email (under Emails → Name day) goes out when the reward is issued.

If you expire points, you can skip name-day rewards for customers who have gone quiet: turn on Pause recurring rewards for inactive customers in your points expiry settings.

The calendar date comes from the customer’s first name, so an unusual spelling can miss. To override it, go to Customers, open the customer, and next to Name day click Edit — in the Set name day dialog enter Month and Day, then Save name day. The override shows a manual tag, survives Vocato re-syncs, and Clear override returns the customer to the automatic calendar date.
