Delay referrer points to verify the referred order

Add a waiting period before a referrer’s points are released, giving you time to catch refunds or fraudulent referrals before you pay out.

Steps

1. Go to Programs → Referral program and Edit the rule to open Complete a referral.
2. In Wait before awarding referrer points (days), enter how many days to hold the points after the friend’s order — set 0 to award instantly.
3. Click Save to apply the change.

Tip

The wait only applies to the referrer’s points — the referred friend’s points are awarded after their first qualifying order without this hold. 30 days is the recommended window, and the cap is 90 days. If the referred order is refunded or cancelled during the wait, the referrer’s points are never released.
